Over the past decade, there has been significant research conducted on the resilience of transportation systems. Resilient transportation systems play a crucial role in withstanding and recovering from disruptive events. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the concepts and methodologies related to resilient transportation. This review focuses on metrics, mathematical models, and strategies used to measure and enhance resilience. Additionally, popular subtopics in the literature are identified, and future research directions are suggested. By building upon prior work, this review aims to offer an updated and comprehensive understanding of resilient transportation systems, contributing to the ongoing development of this important field.
