Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology has opened new opportunities for process improvements across various industries. In the field of music events, however, the number of publications and documented case studies that describe possible applications of RFID technology is very limited. The paper additionally considers the technical and organizational feasibility of these process improvements for different types of music events — indoor concerts, open-air concerts, and festivals.
