The three- phase AC-DC-AC converter with thin-film capacitance is required to reduce capacitance to enhance the power density of the device. A novel three-phase AC-DC-AC without or with a quite small DC-link capacitor based on improving modulation wave reconstruction technology is proposed. Accordingly, work principle and switch mode under resist and reactive load is analyzed, and modes of “refluent” current produced by A-phase-bridge of three-phase AC-DC-AC with reactive load are expounded in detail. On the basis of analysis results, the selecting method of the DC capacitor of novel inverter is given. The results verify the feasibility of selection the minimum DC capacitor scheme based on “refluent” current.
