In this paper a numerical simulation is developed to study the behavior of the ionization chamber current mode, considering the space charge, diffusion, repulsion and recombination effects when operating the chamber with a high photon intensity delivered by synchrotron radiation. This simulation allowed us to understand the charge dynamics inside the ionization chamber and the output current delivered by the induced charges on the chamber plates at recombination and saturation regimes.
