Industrial-grade, large area woven wire meshes are investigated using terahertz (THz) time-domain spectroscopy. The experimental results show that the THz optical properties of the bended wire structure of an all-metal mesh are dominated by a surface plasmon resonance, and the polymer-metal mesh acts as an efficient THz linear polarizer with a high polarization extinction ratio.
