Magnetization measurements are made on polymer bonded melt-spun Nd-Fe-B and on Sm-Co 2:17 powder. Changes in remanence curves with volume fraction of magnetic filler are attributed to changes in the magnetic interaction between particles. Measurements on the remanent states indicate that this interaction increases rapidly with volume fraction at low volume fractions, and slowly at high volume fractions. It is shown that at coercivity, the variation in interaction with the volume fraction is slower than in the remanent state.ETX
