We have successfully grown high quality piezoelectric single crystals of Sr 3 NbGa 3 Si 2 O 14 (SNGS) and Sr 3 TaGa 3 Si 2 O 14 (STGS) by the Czochralski technique. The piezoelectric stress constant e 11 and dielectric permittivity ɛ 11 as well as elastic constants C 11 E and C 66 E were determined at temperatures up to 930°C for both crystals.
