Mathematical modeling possibilities of a screw press with electric arc drive. Mechanical and thermal characteristics are calculated by means of detailed equivalent circuits in a dynamic problem statement. The method is implemented in the mathematical environmental Simulink. The features of arc type motor operation as part of a drive for a screw press are described. The purpose of the paper is to suggest an reduce-order approach to calculate mechanical, electrical and thermal features. The objective of the work is arc-type stator drive. Complex of different operation of the drive is considered by transient conditions. Estimating safe operation for three mode is offered by thermal features.
