This paper gives the experimental study to diagnose any kind of fault with help of a unique approach that is the Park’s vector analysis. This experiment is attempted for a 0.5 hp three phase induction motor. The faults that are occurring in the induction motor is recorded i.e. the pre and post fault signals. And are imaged in the lab. The MATLAB software package is used in our experiment to record the signal and plot the figures. The obtained signals are converted to their 2d components to obtain the equivalent Park’s vector pattern. The two dimentional current Park’s vector representation is generated by functional blocks of MATLAB. since output results is a two dimentional(2D) quantity i.e. it is just a circle, this shows that Park’s Vector approach is a very effective, efficient and convenient technique to identify, analyze and diagnose any kind of fault as early as possible.
