This study evaluates the Heart Rate (HR) estimation from plethysmographic signals obtained via processing 30s videos recorded by a smartphone camera. We recorded the videos placing the finger in two different configurations: distal and intermediate. Nine subjects were enrolled in this study and monitored in five moments of the day for three days. The obtained results confirm the possibility of using this technique as an easily accessible method to know the subject heart rate.
