Subcarrier-Index Modulation (SIM) is proposed as a new method of vector modulation for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. As a multicarrier system, SIM-OFDM also has the inherent high power leakage caused by high sidelobe. N-continuous OFDM (NC-OFDM) is an effective sidelobe suppression technique by smoothing consecutive symbols. In this paper, we investigate the sidelobe suppression performance of SIM-OFDM signal processed by NC-OFDM. Furthermore, the error performance is simulated which proves N-continuous signal has more bit-to-error performance in SIM-OFDM than OFDM. It is shown that N-continuous SIM-OFDM has considerable sidelobe suppression and relatively low sensitive to error.
