We demonstrated a low-loss gallium arsenide (GaAs) and aluminum gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) on insulator platform by heterogenous integration. The ring resonators on this platform exhibit record high intrinsic quality factors above 1 × 10 6 .© 2019 The Author(s)
