Thermoelectric materials are gaining growing focus in areas of alternate energy due to their ability of efficient conversion from heat to electrical energy. In this paper we discuss the scope of such materials in relevance to converting waste heat dissipation in laptop to useful form for charging of low power devices (Mobile phones). In broad scope we will be discussing how changing to thermoelectric materials release the burden on depleting resources like coal and oil, and would help lower the global temperature.
