This paper presents a two series connection type converter for a 1500V dc power network and its performance characteristics. Although the input voltage of each converter can be decreased by the series connection, the input voltage balance is important. In this paper, the input voltage balance of the output series/parallel connection type converter is studied based on assuming that the on-time of one switch is mismatched from the others due to aging or another reason. As a result, it is found that the output parallel connection suppresses the voltage unbalance compared to the output series one.
