A Non Return to Zero On Off Keyed Visible Light Communication (VLC) system is constructed and simulated, with and without noise using a light emitting diode of wavelength 450 nm as an optical source. A PIN photo-diode is used as a photo-detector in the receiver. Another white light source having power of 6W is used as a noise generator to analyse the performance and quality of the VLC system. An optical rectangular filter is used to eliminate the generated noise. Performance of the system is analyzed by the values of Quality Factor and Bit Error Rate. Separation of two optical signals is also explored by using linear polarizers.
