An array antenna that composed of linear arrays in radial arrangement is proposed in this paper. Its equivalence to an aperture antenna is deduced so that the excitation of the linear array elements is designed to obtain a desired radiation pattern. Its validity is shown by simulation, and the radiation pattern is well illustrated in a two-dimensional diagram of contour.
