Due to the wide application of induction motor (IM), it is important to optimize the electromagnetic design of IM and improve its efficiency. This paper focuses on the design of IM for improving its efficiency, average torque, torque ripple and power factor with using the radial skewed rotor, energysaving winding and the multi-objective optimization which integrates Taguchi method, sequential subspace optimization method (SSOM) and differential Evolution (DE) algorithm by using VB script. At last, the effectiveness multi-objective optimization of IM is verified, and the high-efficiency IM is achieved.
