A filtering antenna based on strip line low pass filter with wide stop band and sharp roll-off is presented in this paper. The low pass filter has a good performance on a wide stopband lower than −25dB from 2.85GHz to 10.9GHz and a sharp roll-off from 2.6GHz (-3dB) to 2.9GHz (-39dB). The insertion loss is less than-ldB at pass band. The filtering antenna works in the range from 1.9 to 2.5 GHz (27%), and shows a suppression characteristic at useless band from 2.6GHz to 10.9 GHz, 4.95 times of the central frequency.
