Because the vibration caused by ice-shedding affects the security of the transmission line, the jump height evaluation of ice-shedding from transmission line is a key job to prevent icing disasters. Current research shows that the maximum jump height of ice-shedding has a linear relationship with the sag difference for the transmission line without height difference. However, the relationship for the transmission line with height difference has not yet been analyzed, as well as the influence of height difference. Therefore, the paper analyzes the determinants of ice-shedding jump height under terrain of high difference, verifies the relationship between the maximum jump height and sag difference, and summarizes the law of influence of height difference on the jump height evaluation to provide a reference for preventing the disasters caused by ice-shedding.
