In this project, a real-time data acquisition (DAQ) system for healthcare purposes has been developed. The system is able to display readings for the pulse rate (BPM) and oxygen level (SpO2) locally. The system is constructed using a controller, a sensor, and the processing IDE software to display the graphic user interface (GUI). It shows real-time data with a minimal reading error range of 2–3% when compared with market design. This does not affect the final judgement about the medical condition of a user. The system would be useful for home-care patients, namely those who are suffering from heart diseases and people who need a home-care system. The system is cheap and simple to use for patients in home care as well as for those who are not able to go to hospitals.
