A broadband circularly polarized crossed dipole antenna with a square slot of stepped border is proposed in this paper. The antenna includes two pairs of orthogonal wide rectangular dipoles and a metal ground, with stepped borders and a square slot embedded in each arm entering the crossed dipole to widen the AR bandwidth. Simulation results show an impedance bandwidth of 57.31% (1.83 GHz-3.3 GHz) and a 3dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth of 50.24% (2.0143 GHz-3.3659 GHz).
