In order to know the power consumption of electrical equipment on light poles and to improve the safety of equipment boxes on light poles, an STM32-based equipment box controller is designed. It detects the environment of the equipment boxes by using temperature sensors and electrical energy collection modules, and uploads the collected data to the Internet of Things(IoT) platform through wired communication, in order to realize the remote monitoring of the operating environment in the distribution boxes. The equipment box is equipped with a WEB server, which enables remote modification of parameters and restarting of equipment within the same Local Area Network(LAN). When the controller collects fault information such as short circuit, open circuit, overvoltage, under-voltage, overcurrent and abnormal sensor data from the power equipment and input circuits, it can report fault information to the central platform in time and enable reclosing and breaking, so the power equipment in the box can be protected. It has been proved that the system can meet the requirements of daily running parameters detection of the equipment box and report the alarm information timely in the case of electrical fire, which is convenient for the management personnel to carry out safe and intelligent management of the equipment box.
