This paper mainly describes an effective method for synthesizing binocular stereoscopic images using OpenGL. Synthesizing binocular stereoscopic images is based on the left image by the left eye and right image by the right eye. The two planar images cast to the left and right eyes individually form a virtual stereoscopic image in real space. There are methods for creating the left and right images with cameras. And which is better and more effective for creating a virtual stereoscopic image will be displayed and proved in this paper. We have done experiments using different methods. In conclusion, the results suggest an effective method for synthesizing a virtual stereoscopic image in real space.
