Soft robots with flexible and elastic body substrates made of soft materials provide a high degree of freedom (DoF), adaptability, and interact well with their environment. In this letter, we developed a film-type soft microrobot equipped with an optical sensor, light source, and a 4-DoF gripper arm based on kinetic electronics. This optical sensor film robot can be used for object handling, gripping, and optical sensing operations. It presents considerable potential for the low-cost fabrication of microrobots that can perform complicated operations, such as object handling and optical sensing.
