This paper discusses the approach of the numerical model design and discusses the properties and accuracy of the far-field localization technique for two chosen microphone array topologies using the conventional beamforming algorithm. The proposed solution enables us to study, innovate the algorithms of acoustic localization, and understand the limits of the current solutions using Matlab/Simulink environment. Thanks to the results proposed everyone can use the tool for numerical simulations to better understand the results measured by the microphone arrays.
