Geosynchronous Synthetic Aperture Radar (GEO SAR) is gaining more interest these recent years. This paper proposes a novel method to tackle the issue of multiple ground moving target detection and velocity estimation in GEO SAR. First we gather all moving target velocity information in one azimuth signal by averaging the image along the range direction. Likewise, we extract each of the moving target Doppler spectrums separately using a set of band-pass filters. The Non-Uniform Cubic Phase Function (NU-CPF) algorithm is applied to each filter output to estimate the moving target Doppler parameters and hence deduce the corresponding motion velocities. Finally, using these velocities, we propose a solution to correct the Range Walk Migration (RWM) and deduce the moving targets ranges. Simulation results with different SNRs are provided to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed technique.
