Metasurfaces are sub wavelength thick counterparts of two-dimensional (2D) or Planar metamaterials. They are broadly investigated and implemented in electromagnetic applications due to their light weight and ease of fabrication. This Article began with the motive of developing Circular Microstrip patch antennas and then it moved to developing and employment of metasurface superstate on top of the Circular patch antennas. After putting a superstate on the patch antennas, the characteristics of the antenna like Gain, VSWR and Return loss are observed to improve for Metasurface superstate. This Article mainly focused on improving the gain of the antennas and on average of 1 dB gain is observed to increase after putting the superstate. The Metasurface Superstate Antennas are fabricated function at frequencies of 2.4GHz and 5.2 GHz and implemented on FR-4 Material. The proposed Metasurface Antenna is primarily used as a router in retail, service provider & Wi-Fi 5 GHz UNII (Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure).
