Ultra-wideband (UWB) angle of arrival (AOA) estimation technology is currently one of the most accurate indoor positioning methods. However, there are few UWB system model that can be used to evaluate the influence of receiver defects on AOA estimation accuracy. In this paper, an UWB receiver model is built for AOA estimation error analysis. The AOA estimation errors caused by the characteristics of analog-to-digital converter and imbalance of receiver channels are investigated using the UWB receiver model, which is of great significance to the UWB positioning system.
