The axle strain monitoring is an effective technique to prevent massive damage to the train. The measurement of the axle strain needs rotating sensors, data acquisition and data transmission units that have to be electrically powered. This paper presents a high frequency induction power feeding system that can be directly mounted on the train axle in a very stable and safety way. The system equations and the design parameters are obtained considering series resonant windings for efficiency enhancement.
