In this paper is presented an analysis of the CO 2 emissions from battery electric vehicles charging considering different power generation mix in Romania. The generation mix in Romania is formed mainly of nuclear, coal, gas, hydro, solar, wind and biomass, each with a different percentage for various hours of the day. The battery electric vehicles are charging at outlets or dedicated charging stations, so based on the power generation mix the results for the CO 2 emissions from the power sources are determined. Different battery electric vehicles will be considered, each with a different battery capacity and charging time. So, the impact on the environment of the battery electric vehicles considering the generation mix in Romania will be determined.
