The multifunctional optical integrated circuit (MIOC) is a key component of interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (IFOG), and the phase error in its signal modulation process will inevitably bring output signal error to the IFOG. This article theoretically analyzes and simulates the modulation and output of gyroscopes from the perspective of energy loss caused by MIOC resonance. This article establishes an IFOG testing system and it is found that the fluctuation frequency of the gyroscope output is consistent with the resonance frequency of the MIOC, which proves the correlation between the two. This article also achieves the effect of reducing the output fluctuation of the gyroscope by adjusting the frequency composition of the modulation signal to avoid the resonance frequency of MIOC, which has strong engineering practicality.
