Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by the uncontrolled inflammation, easily affecting the kidney. Sepsis-induced acute kidney injury (S-AKI) has high morbidity and mortality, of which the pathophysiological mechanisms have not been completely illuminated, leading to nonspecific therapies.
