Publisher Summary This chapter elaborates the cases of cancer in cryptorchid testes at IRCH All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The case records of 164 cases of germ cell tumors of the testis were analyzed. Twenty-four adult patients were found to have cancer related to partially or undescended testes. All patients except one had uncorrected abnormality of descent. Virtually all patients belonged to a very poor socioeconomic class originating from the most backward and interior regions of the country. The abnormalities had gone unnoticed. The median age was 29 years. Two patients had hermaphroditism. Fourteen testes contained pure seminoma and 13 NSGCT. The duration of symptoms varied from 4 to 18 months. In 14 patients, the site of the undescended testis was abdominal, pelvic in 7 and in inguinal in 3. Sixteen patients had unilateral undescended testes, of which 12 were right-sided and 4 left-sided. Eight patients had bilateral undescended testes, of which six had an abdominal testis. Bilateral tumors were seen in three patients. The majority of patients had bulky abdominal disease. It was found that of the 16 patients seen early in the series, complete resection was carried out in 8 and partial resection or debulking in 7.
