The coronavirus pandemic affects humans through different subtypes known to infect central nervous system causing psychiatric and neuropsychiatric syndromes after May 2020. It is evidenced that CNS infection with coronavirus affects cognitive functions, perceptual and behavioral domains as well as temporary and permanent brain damages that can impact neuropsychiatric functions. In this scoping review we will review randomized controlled trials and observational cohort studies to report new findings. This review will lead us to specific research questions and systematic review/meta-analysis on a narrow specific question.
