In a previous work, a close coupling model of the strong interaction between 3sσ B 1Σ+ Rydberg state and the D’ valence state has been built. It satisfactorily reproduces most of the experimental results on level shifts and widths in B state, as well as the relative intensities of the B‐X transitions. The model is now used as a starting pont for investigations of the higher Rydberg states, i.e., 3pσ C 1Σ+ state and the nsσ series. Preliminary results show the influence of the B‐D’ strong coupling through the presence of resonances in the photodissociation cross section as a function of energy. Differences in predissociation widths of two isotopes are qualitatively demonstrated although quantitative agreement is not yet achieved.
