This working group was charged with examining new luminosity paradigms and nonconventional collider concepts. The most significant new luminosity paradigm considered was the operation of 5 TeV center-of-mass colliders in a regime that relies strongly on quantum mechanical suppression of beamstrahlung. The nonconventional accelerator concepts—those that did not fall properly into one of the other working groups—were muon colliders and crystal accelerators. We also examined beam cooling and diagnostics.
