Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a broad public health problem with and associated increased mortality, high cost and loss of quality of life(HRQol). HRQol and other health related variables of COPD patients are currently being studied in a Spanish randomized clinical trial (n=112) whereby a structured intervention to promote self-care is compared to the standard intervention provided to patients in primary care settings. The study included other specific objectives such as describing the two cohorts study variables at the baseline of the research and after 6 and 12 months analysis post-intervention. The aim of this publication was to describe quality of live and other health related variables of COPD patients from Barcelona area (Spain). Methods: Observational, descriptive, cross-sectional study. Patient diagnosed of severe COPD under inhalers treatment were included. Chi-square comparison of proportions for qualitative variables and analysis of variance (ANOVA) for comparison of means for quantitative variables were performed. Results: Descriptive results are shown in Table 1. No statistically differences were found between groups. Conclusions: Results were in accordance with what was expected in line with the Spanish study EPISCAN II (Alfageme, I. et al Archbronconeumol 2019;55:38-47).
