New entity that may lead to shock and multiple organ failure requiring intensive care, the so-called Multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) has been described in COVID-19 affected children. Gastrointestinal symptoms are predominant but, faecal inflammatory biomarkers have not been studied in this syndrome.
