A teacher is the backbone in a society as well as social engineer, helper in development of children. The teacher is at the root of the education system. So, it is necessary to have satisfaction with his / her emotional intelligence that which is helpful in the overall development of education and the teaching-learning process in class became much more receptive, reactionary and significant. When a teacher is emotionally stable then he contributes to his best effort and he always satisfied with his dream profession of teaching. Teacher always needs satisfaction for his service. The present study was conducted with the purpose to find a comparison between male and female teacher with respect to job satisfaction and emotional intelligence of teachers in elementary school education. The study was conducted to a sample of 200 that was selected the technique of quota sampling of elementary school teachers in Govt. aided and Govt. sponsored school at Kolkata of West Bengal. Teacher’s job satisfaction scale was constructed by self and the emotional intelligence scale constructed and standardized by Dr. Dalip Singh and Dr. N.K Chada were used to collect data in this particular study. The collected data was analyzed with the help of inferential and descriptive statistical form. The result of the study shows that there was no significant difference between male and female of job satisfaction and emotional intelligence.
