A new iteration of a perovskite solar cell has been developed that evolves from architectures previously studied by our group, this time exploring the introduction of a graphite and black carbon with methylammonium iodide (MAI) in polyvinylidene fluoride layer, which is placed over the methylammonium lead triiodide (MAPbI3) one, in order to reduce the heat-induced perovskite decomposition that results from the thermal processes in ambient conditions that are required to deposit the back electrode, which also acts in the cell as hole transport material and encapsulate. A batch of devices has been produced and characterized, obtaining power conversion efficiencies (PCE) up to 1.32%.
