In this study; The incidence of T. foetus in chronic and recurrent diarrhea cats in Diyarbakır Region was revealed; The aim of this study is to determine the condition of the disease in the region, to treat the sick cats and to contribute to the prophylaxis of the disease. The material of the study was evaluated with 30 cats brought to Dicle University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Prof. Dr. Servet SEKİN outpatient clinic and with clinically recurrent chronic diarrhea, pain in the anal area, inflammation and clumping without any previous treatment. WBC, granulocyte, PLT, HCT, RDW, PCT, osinophil percentage increase and decrease in lymphocyte, PDW and MCH values were not statistically significant when compared with control group (p> 0.005). Biochemical amylase and lipase levels were measured. An increase in serum amylase and a decrease in lipase values were detected, but it was not statistically significant when compared with the control group (p> 0.005). Stool samples from 30 cats in Diyarbakır region were examined by Inpouch TF Feline culture test and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) methods and none of the samples were positive for T. foetus. In conclusion, there was no evidence of the role of T. foetus in chronic and recurrent diarrhea cases and in order to obtain more efficient results, it was concluded that the number of samples could be increased and new studies could be beneficial.
