Background & Aims: Determining the effects of pre-liver transplant (LT) BMI independent of underlying ascites on the post-LT outcomes of patients with nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is needed to clarify the paradoxical and protective effects of obesity on post-LT endpoints.
