The paper presents the results of the exploratory survey related to performance measurement in supply chains. The aim of the survey was to look at performance measurement systems used by supply chain members, with a focus on logistics. Over 60 responses, mainly from European companies, were collected and analysed. Beyond the tools, the survey also covered metrics categories, individual metrics and their importance. In addition, the questions related to issues that influence performance measurement specific to company and supply chain context were incorporated. The survey results indicate that among the companies that answered the survey, the process-based measurement, the Balanced Scorecard and the SCOR model are most commonly used. The need to reflect customer needs and the requirement to provide a forward-looking perspective by the measurement system were indicated. Findings confirmed the importance of metrics related to economic performance, although social and environmental metrics importance was also acknowledged.
