The knowledge dialogue is one of the premises that underlies agroecology, which is also comprehended as social movement, having as one of the main protagonists, in the case of Brazil, the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST). The aim of this work is to investigate the agroecological knowledge dialogue from the perspective of an important cultural practice of the MST, the mística. Present in most MST events, mística is a kind of celebration in the form of theater that seeks, among other things, to cultivate a sense of engagement, collective and identity for the landless. Mística, understood here from the theories of performance, has marked a strong presence also in the agroecological meetings, and, for this reason, offers an interesting perspective to think the relation between different subjects and political demands in the context of the knowledge dialogue. In order to achieve the proposed objective, we did a participant observation, inspired by ethnography, about the performance staged at the X Brazilian Congress of Agroecology (CBA), in the city of Brasília, DF, in September 2017. At the time, there were used open interviews with part of the participating public, and also with some individuals involved with the mística that opened the event. The results obtained by this research points to the importance that mística occupies in the narrative of the landless, being considered a serious practice that requires the participation and the involvement of the collectivity in the construction of a greater sense for the group. In the context of agroecology, however, mística has revealed part of the tension that is established in knowledge dialogue, in other words, there is a field in dispute, where social movements seek to play an important role in the definitions of agroecology. Another possible reading, from this work, suggests that the very concept of mística can be expanded to the agroecological congress, which, in turn, operates in the attempt to build a collectivity based on the valorization of difference, that is, mística not only offers a perspective of the knowledge dialogue, but to some extent embodies this intersubjective relation Mestrado Modernidade e Políticas Públicas Mestre em Ciências Humanas e Sociais Aplicadas
