This article describes characteristic US findings of various common and uncommon benign and malignant superficial pediatric head and neck masses, to provide guidance as to the indications for use of US in these patients and to determine if clinical observation, repeat US, additional cross-sectional imaging, and/or biopsy or excision is indicated.
