The article discusses how ergonomists and designers can work together and complement each other during the product design process for the common goal of creating products that people can enjoy using and that help them live better lives. It is encouraged that each discipline is represented on the project team early in the product development cycle and that all team members can participate in ideation and concept exploration. The roles of each team member and how their collective contributions can lead to success at each stage of the process is elaborated.
