The article explores the history of pottery and pottery making in Seagrove, North Carolina. Particular focus is given to how pottery has been produced in various forms in the region since the 18th-century because of the availability of quality clay and abundant firewood. Several potters that work in the region as of 2013 are also noted including Ben Owen III, Crystal King and Anna King.
