The article focuses on the alterations on bone tissue due to higher frequency components and prolonged exposure to hand-transmitted vibrations from hand held power tools. It mentions the Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) consisting of vascular disease and musculoskeletal system disease, and increase in biochemical damage due to increase in vibration frequencies. It also mentions that the trabecular bone and cortical bone both show structural damage.
