The article reports on various double taxation agreements (DTA) proposed by the Irish government. The government wants to amend its DTA with Portugal to ensure that Irish residents transferring to Portugal will still be liable to Irish capital gains tax (CGT). The Irish Revenue Commissioners are also working to amend DTA with Italy to categorized CGT as a relevant corporate income tax.
