This article offers insights into the impact of modern psychology on the textile industry in Great Britain. In the last few years, psychologists have experimentally determined many other principles connected with the design of machine controls and the information available for anybody in a form that he can apply the methods involved. The most fascinating and important questions in the whole field have to do with the relations between the signal system and the control system. It is used to be assumed that skill potentialities could be best measured in terms of very simple discrimination thresholds.
